Why Missions?
Here you will find my story into missions but also what your role in missions is as a believer.
My Story
All throughout my time in bible college God spoke to me through dreams and people to confirm missions to me. I tried to run and hide from that calling for a while. In 2022, I was about to enter my final year of college, and I was seeking direction. God reminded me of a prophecy I had received early in high school regarding Circuit Riders and ministry (before I really was walking personally with God). For some reason, I wrote it down. Fast forward to summer of 2022. The Holy Spirit told me to look through old prophecies, and this is how I found the one I forgot about regarding Circuit Riders. I then looked up Circuit Riders and saw that they had a school. I began to pray and say, "God if this is you, I give it back to you. Make it so evident." And He did; He began to confirm things to me in supernatural ways, through dreams, through people, and divine appointments...every month for the next 9 months. It was crazy. During those 9 months between 2022-2023, I graduated from Bible college, went on a mission trip to Eastern Europe, interned at my local church, and served at a house of prayer being planted in San Antonio. In October of 2023, I began my 6-month (DTS) discipleship training school with Circuit Riders in Huntington Beach, California. I lived there for 3 months and then was assigned on an outreach to 11 countries in Eastern Europe. In January of 2024, I left for Europe and spent 3 months seeing the lost saved, the saved revived, and people equipped with the gospel. Those 6 months have equipped and activated me in ways I can't even explain. Things have completely aligned, and I know God has made it so evident that joining Circuit Riders full-time is where I am supposed to be. My heart has been gripped for seeing people equipped with tools they practically can use in daily life. I long to see the nations know Jesus. I have seen the need across America and Europe, and it has been made so evident that many people have never heard the gospel or they have only known religion, but we have an answer to their searching... it's JESUS!
Biblical backing for Missions
Missions is not just for some but it is for all and it applies to all. Missions is not just overseas but it is in the market place, your city, your family and the nations. Matthew 28:18-20 says "All authority has been gieven to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." This was the last thing that Jesus said before He ascended, and He left us with a command to GO. The great commission is not a suggestion but it is a command from Jesus. You have the opportunity to do your part, if you can't physically go out, send someone who can. 3rd John says "Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth." When you help send someone out, you become fellow workers for the truth with them!! It is a great honor and joy to preach the Gospel to those around you, be bold and represent Christ well.
